Job Description

1. To follow NRC standard procurement practices keeping records to all audit trail standard
2. To obtain no less than 3 quotations, prepare a comparative BID Analysis and recommendation to purchase committee including minutes where appropriate
3. Further, with appropriate authorisation execute the purchase of appropriate supplies and arrange delivery in a timely and cost effective manner
4. To liaise and co-ordinate with the relevant office/departments/functions regarding delivery of suppliers and keep all parties informed of any changes in a timely manner
5. To identify and maintain an accurate and up-to-date supplier information database for regularly purchased items, and keep informed of local market conditions
6. Establish and maintain a good professional working relationship with suppliers and inspection companies
7. To ensure that all purchase goods are of NRC / donor minimum standard and fit for the purpose and have appropriate inspection certificates as required
8. To support, train, and develop local staff as required
9. To produce regularly, timely and accurate narrative and procurement reports for the operation
10. To compile all procurement from the location on a monthly basis or on request
11. Support regional procurement requirements as required
12. Maintain accurate material listing price on quarterly basis
13. Supports NRC managers with procurement guidelines and appropriate assistance.
14. To assist in any other duties that may be assigned.


Filing and Document Management
1. Locally Manage the Document Management and filing systems according to guidelines from the NRC Head Office
2. Ensure that all relevant physical files are filed according to requirements from Head Office


1. Configure and deploy new and refurbished workstations, laptops and peripheral equipment.
2. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot printers/copiers as well as manage toner requests.
3. Setup and support audio/visual equipment for presentations and trainings on and off site.
4. Install and configure peripherals including scanners, external drives, monitors and other peripheral hardware.
5. Removal/disposal of non-functional equipment.
6. On a regularly schedule clean equipment from dust and particles.


1. Provide software and system troubleshooting and support.
2. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and update operating systems and user applications.
3. Proactively schedule software upgrades and patching.


1. Monitor network to ensure network functionality and availability to all system users.
2. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cabled, wireless and other network infrastructure.


Management of Vendor Services
1. Work directly with vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance.
2. Request and evaluate services with vendors and service providers.
3. Work with ISP and other outside vendors to ensure dependable operations.
4. Work with vendors to and vendor supplied systems to track service requests through to completion.


1. Train new and current employees on computer software and ICT systems.
2. Create materiel and presentations for trainings and reports.
3. Assess user capacity and suggest trainings and areas in need of improvement.

Routine Administrative Tasks
1. Create and maintain inventory, which may include hardware, software and various items such as laser printer cartridges and peripheral equipment.
2. Maintaining documentation of processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
3. Monitor and report ICT expenses.
4. Assist with preparation of operating budgets based on estimated and actual expenditures for ICT systems and support needs.
5. Keep ICT equipment, storage area and work area clean and organized.
